Standard C++ Compiler in notepad++

Post by BIT0122-Amit on Thu Jul 30, 2009 2:08 am

Lets assume that you have already setup your Borland 5.5 C++ compiler.
open notepad++
go to plugins, then select nppExec.
open a temporary script, and then write the following things:
Code:
bcc32 "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"  $(NAME_PART)
// UPX Compress (with "--best, --ultra-brute" options)
// Enable? "//" signs remove in code line.
// Sample: C:\WINDOWS\system32\upx.exe --best --ultra-brute $(NAME_PART).exe
your_upx_path\upx.exe --best --ultra-brute $(NAME_PART).exe
save it by the name c++ compiler.
Then go to plugins, nppExec, enable Follow $(CURRENT_DIRECTORY)
You are done Very Happy
Next time you write a code in cpp, simply go to plugins, then go to execute, and then Click on run Very Happy
The exe file, along with the tds and obj file will be created instantly!!

EDIT::
Just adding this part will work perfectly Very Happy
Code:
bcc32 "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"  $(NAME_PART)

And it will be even FASTER!!

BTW, after compiling, press F5, and then type the filename without the cpp part.
Example:
if your file name is experiment.cpp, just press F5, type experiment, and then press enter Wink
you will see what happen.

Hi,
if you want to see the compiled and executed result in the "NppExec Coding Console" take this implemantation code instead:

NPP_SAVE
bcc32 "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"
$(CURRENT_DIRECTORY)\$(NAME_PART).exe

This will first save your "*.c" or "*.cpp" file, then compile it, and at the very end it will show the result of your "*.exe" file in the Notepad++ "NppExec Coding Console".

Enjoy.

Code:

SET BDIR =  $(NPP_DIRECTORY)\BCC5

ENV_SET PATH = $(BDIR)\bin
ENV_SET INCLUDE = $(BDIR)\include
ENV_SET LIB = $(BDIR)\lib

NPP_SAVE
bcc32 -I"$(BDIR)\Include" -L"$(BDIR)\Lib" "$(FILE_NAME)"
