Forum Rules and Regulations and Suggestions that are to be implemented
We, members of iitdu community, have the right to have a say while setting forum rules and regulations.
We have prepared a scratch of some rules to be implemented and some suggestions to be followed. I'm giving them here. It is vital that you all participate by suggesting rules or giving suggestions.
Please add them in your reply. Your feedback would be considered with importance as this is your forum.
Forum Policy:
This forum is free and anyone can register here. Using this forum is free of charge of any kind.
Forum Rules:
Rules about username:
Please follow these rules:
1. Do not take more than one username.
2. Do not use username that contains words that could offend a person or a particular group of people. For example: 'brazilplaysbad' or 'bushstinks'.
3. Do not use username that violates trademark rights. For example: 'windows', 'yahoo', 'google'.
4. Do not use usernames that offends secularity. For example: 'allah', 'soytan', 'vogoban' etc.
5. Do not use vulgar words as username.
Rules about posts:
Please follow these rules:
1. Post your topics only in the appropriate section.
2. A post must not contain words that could be interpreted as offensive to a person or a particular group of people.
3. Posts must not contain vulgar words.
4. Your posts must not contain commercial advertisements.
5. Post flooding must be avoided. If you need to mention something in a reply you forgot to write, and noone replied there yet, you can use the edit function.
6. Hateful, threatening or abusive words or expressions must be avoided.
7. Harmful, phishing, illegal material containing, or security breaching must not be given to our users.
Rules about Signature:
1. Signature can contain images, flash, or your personal website address.
2. Signature content should not exceed the 15KB limit. Otherwise, the signature will be removed.
3. Signature may not contain pornographic, nude, vulgar, hatred contents.
General rules:
1. Administrators, and moderators can take any action necessary if these rules are violated.
In detecting violation, their decision would be final.
2. Administrator, moderators are not bound to explain their actions to the members.
3. Administrators have the right to immediately/permanently/temporarily ban a user if they feels it necessary.
In this case their decision would be final.
4. Administrator, moderators have the right to split, merge, join or delete posts if it is necessary.
Suggestions:
Please read these carefully:
1. As this is an international forum, it is expected that your posts would be in english.
2. Everyone are requested to use full words while typing. l33t Sp34k typing style is discouraged.
Also, It is suggested not to use SMS style like, "hi, h r u, um fyn. nyc 2 meet ya", type.
3. Use topic title that gives a general idea about the topic. For example: do not use
titles like "need help!", "no graphics". Instead write "widows won't start", "shutdown is taking too
much time in windows".
4. It is also suggested that If you are not able to understand any
part of this post, raise questions under this post, (click on "reply") or ask me personally.
5. If you see any posts in the inappropriate section, please report this.
6. If you notice any forum rules violation, please report this to authority.
7. Avoid unnecessary use of colours, images or emoticons. The forum has a personalized theme setter. Custom coloured text might become invisible in some other themes.
8. If you are giving a solution or tutorial that is not your own, please add the link of the site from where you are giving it.
This also implies in case of any news.
9. Your replies should be constructive, so that the poster would be inspired. Instead of just using emoticons, give feedback.
10. While asking for help, give as much detail explanation of the problem as you can.
11. If you make a topic asking for a solution, after you get a satisfactory answer, you should edit your title post(your first post in that topic) and use the
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Icon.
12. Using English characters to write Bengali is not appreciated. Please use any Bengali writing software to write Bengali in this forum. If you are not interested in using any software, you can try using the Trivuj Pad.

That's where we discuss official things which needs interaction with our members 

i think very few of us would have enough patience to read this 'very short' post and reply.

I have some suggestions. They are given below.
i) Rules about username's topic should be given in such a place where a guest, that means not registered user can see it. Thus he/she can able to make correct decision about username.
ii) usename format for BITans should be added.
iii) Use exam icon if its an exam.
iv) While giving post in Notice Board add BIT01/BIT02 in title that means for whom the notice is.
That's all for now. I will give more feedbacks if I can add some other suggestions
