GCC Compiler in Notepad++

Notepad++ is one of the Best editors for ... almost any programming languages.
Too bad it doesn't have any integrated compiler. Because it is light weight.
But then again, it is open source and free.
So, there is a way to integrate a C compiler manually Very Happy

here is the way.

1. open notepad. Goto plugins, select NppExec.
2. click on execute. A new window will show up.

// The script code, C source code compiling with GNU CC (GCC) in notepad++ (by "NppExec" plug-in) and compressing with UPX...
// Enable? "//" signs remove in code line.
// Sample: C:\Program Files\CodeBlocks\MinGW\bin\gcc.exe "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)" -o $(NAME_PART)

// UPX Compress (with "--best, --ultra-brute" options)
// Enable? "//" signs remove in code line.
// Sample: C:\WINDOWS\system32\upx.exe --best --ultra-brute $(NAME_PART).exe

YOUR_UPX_PATH_HERE\upx.exe --best --ultra-brute $(NAME_PART).exe

4. basically, you will just have to edit the "YOUR_GCC\BIN\_PATH_HERE" part, and the YOUR_UPX_PATH_HERE" part. Save it, use the name C compiler.

5. Go to Plugins, NppExec, then enable Follow $(CURRENT_DIRECTORY).

That's all Very Happy
then you will just have to go to plugins, execute, select C compiler.
the compiler will create a exe file after it compiles your *.c file Smile
Double click on it to execute the file as you wish.

go to Source
